Nama, Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort

Mykonos, Greece

A Response to Land, Light and Sea

One of MKV’s recent projects for our longstanding client, Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort, is a restaurant which is the new centrepiece of the culinary offering in this luxury destination. Called Nama after the Greek wine known as ‘a gift from God’, the restaurant offers a seamless play of indoors and out. The aesthetic is intentionally simple. Through day and sunset, it’s all about the view across the Aegean Sea but, as darkness settles, Nama romantically closes down to the immediate environment and the interiors become a shimmering reflection in the pool outside. Inside, there is a series of distinct zones, each with their own purpose and offering a wide opening towards the pool and the sea beyond. At the back, a double-height wine cellar rises with sculptural effect. The pool area is furnished as a room outdoors with sofas, dining tables and loungers.
