Grand Hyatt Athens

Athens, Greece

Classically Contemporary and Connected with the City

The Grand Hyatt was created within an existing hotel building, extended, in Phase Two, into the building next door. It is a business and leisure hotel where sense of grandeur and formality reflects the brand and hints at the Athenian inheritance.
In the original property, the imposing lobby was re-planned and re-clad in deep-veined chamfered marble slabs, while guestrooms were treated with pale oak finishes and new marble bathrooms and a rooftop level was introduced offering a bar, restaurant and glass-sided pool looking towards the Acropolis. The substantial extension encompasses conference and meeting spaces as well as restaurants, spa and guestrooms. New and original parts share the atrium, now twice its previous size, through which shafts of sunlight bathe the area. Taking our cue from the existing aesthetic, the new interiors are streamlined, finishes sophisticated and furnishings elegant.
