Angsana Marbella Hotel & Residences

The Vision 

This new resort destination will be a retreat into the peace of the wooded slopes of Sierra de las Nieves above Marbella for families and friends seeking a different experience of Andalucia from the thronging summer streets of the city below. It will combine hotel, branded residences, a large spa and a full range of public areas hugging the hillside and landscaped courtyards to create a sense of “old town” charm.

Spaces

Our design is taking its cues from the fluid architecture, the sociable and vital ethos of Angsana and the natural beauty that surrounds the resort. The inherent vivacity of the Andalucian culture will be sensitively infused with Asian influences, reflecting the brand’s roots in Southeast Asia. Seamless connection with between indoors and out is key. Inside, rugged texture will be combined with craftmanship and refined elements with the joyful rhythm of local life, overlaid with features and details celebrating the region’s Moorish heritage and Marbella’s rich history.

Materials

Local materials, abounding in texture, will be the natural companion to locally crafted items, while softly organic forms will be combined with references to Marbella’s rich cultural history and Moorish heritage, bringing moments of vivacity and charm.
